The people of God sing. After escaping from the Egyptians and crossing the Red Sea, the people of Israel sang a song to the Lord (Exod. 15). Singing was part of Israel’s formal worship in both tabernacle and temple (1 Chron. 6:31-32, 16:42). The Psalms bear rich testimony that in joy and sorrow, in praise and lament, the faithful raise their voices in song to God.
The Ministry of Music is one of the most vital ministries in the local church and should be viewed as a sacred office. Discovering your call begins with a DESIRE to be used by God to impact the local church and the world around you.
There are two words that that has been helping us understand the call and vision God has for your music ministry.
Call: A divine appointment to ministry or service.
Vision: A supernatural revelation that conveys the plan and purpose of God.
We value this ministry because Colossians 3:16 shows us it is a ministry of God’s Word, to build up his church.
The conferences serve to teach existing church musicians both theologically and practically to be more effective in the local church.
The training/apprenticeships serve those looking to serve full or part-time on a staff team in a local church, or those already doing so.
